How can I control the music playing on the speaker?
You can start and control content on the Bose Home Speaker 500 with your voice, the buttons on the speaker, the Bose Music app, Spotify Connect (through the Spotify app), or AirPlay 2 from an Apple device.
Is the Bose Home Speaker 500 compatible with other speakers?
The Bose Home Speaker 500 only works with other members of the Bose Smart Home Family for multi-room listening. You can also use Bose SimpleSync technology to pair it with a Bose SoundLink speaker for synchronized music playback.
Can I make or take calls from the Bose Home Speaker 500?
Yes. With Alexa only, you can make or take calls to Bose smart products, Amazon Echo products, and anyone in your contacts list. To call products, both parties must have this feature set up and be on Wi-Fi.
Can I control Spotify through Voice?
Yes. If you have a Spotify Premium account, you can play and control Spotify using Alexa with commands like ‘Alexa, play Sam Fisher on Spotify,” ‘Alexa, play Discover Weekly on Spotify,’ ‘Alexa, next track,’ etc.
